Yes. PIN arrived Oct 29, GTA here

I have received my PIN but not Debit Card. Victoria BC

I called CWB downtown a few days ago. I'm comforted in knowing now that NBC will be in same location as the current CWB. Also, same staff so hopefully my CSR will be the same person as well. So, no longer going to catastrophize over what may or may not happen with the transfers of CWB,CWT& Motive. I'll make an in-person appointment, and then decide on what I'll do going forward. Almost half of my RRIF's are with CWB, so I will probably transfer them to Wealth One.

I supposed NBC will also inherit Motive's spot here on the charts soon enough? … going where the big 5 never go before, ha!

I too had/have CWB and Motive business, and a CWB branch now sporting red National Bank colours...My CWB CSR has said she'd like to see me when 'the dust settles', following the Motive migration.
As a data point, I have linked my new NB chequing acct (formerly CWB chequing, already migrated) to Oaken (using Flinks), and successfully transferred into said NB chequing acct. I also linked my two Progress Accounts (Motive Savvy Saving and Cha-ching chequing I presume) successfully to Oaken, again using Flinks at the Oaken end, but was unsuccessful in transferring to the not-yet migrated Motive accts. The transfers went thru on the Oaken end, and were subsequently reversed.
And all three NB accounts, chequing, Progress #1, and Progress #2 have cheques that can be ordered, free, notwithstanding a $7.55 shipping fee. As some have mentioned, this is another way to move funds away from NB!

Has anyone seen this:

I received my PIN letter from National Bank, but I never received the debit card for which it supposedly applies. My mother got the same.

Isn't it more common to receive the card first and the PIN letter afterwards?

HermanH, I received the debit card yesterday. The letter with PIN was received weeks ago. Yours should arrive soon.

I'm in Calgary. I received my initial package a couple of weeks ago. Today, I received both the debit card AND the pin, in separate envelopes.

The $28.95/month waived for 12 months is for "The Total" package, not for the CAD Progress Account.

The National Bank CAD Progress Account has no monthly fee but has per-item fees without a package.

I don't understand. The charts in posts 209 and 210 say: "We are pleased to offer you the CAD Progress Account", but in the same chart under "National Bank migrated package", it is "The Total" at 2.00% that is listed.

Can anyone clarify?

The way I understand it, if you only had a Motive Savvy account, you only get a Progress savings account ( No Fee ). Those that have a Motive Cha Ching chequing account get the Total package (Fee Waived for 12 Months). If you had both a saving and chequing account, you get the Total Package. You can have the chequing account removed from the Total package and pay the per use fee instead when the fee waiver ends. At that point one could just simply close the chequing account.

"The Total" ($28.95/month) is not an account. It is a pricing package one can select for the CAD Progress Account. The other packages are "The Minimalist" package ($3.95/month) and "The Connected" package ($15.95/month).

There's no such thing as a National Bank Progress savings account. Each Motive savings or chequing account, including the Motive Savvy Savings account and the Motive Cha Ching chequing account, will be migrated to a National Bank CAD Progress Account with "The Total" pricing package selected. The $28.95 monthly fee for "The Total" package will be waived for at least 12 months.

Unfortunately, it is confusing as the same pricing packages can also be selected for the National Bank Chequing Account (different from the National Bank CAD Progress Account) that one could open if one just went to a National Bank branch on one's own.

To add to the confusion, there's no such thing as a CAD Progress account at NB when looking at their website, there is however a USD Progress account. They simply call there chequing account a Chequing Account and the savings account is called a High Interest Savings Account. It's the packaging of the Chequing Account into one of 3 different tiers of pricing that adds to the confusion: Mininalist $3.95, Connected $15.95 and Total $28.95.

The National Bank CAD Progress Account is a no-longer-offered account that one normally cannot open now. See page 28 of the Fee Guide for Personal Banking Solutions.

National Bank is making an exception for those who have a Motive-branded chequing or savings account.

I have received from NBA the migration documents pin and card.
I also have no intention of using NBA going forward.
What would best the best way of cancelling any and all accounts at NBA?
P.S. There is a branch not far from me.

I only have a Motive Savvy Savings account. So do you think (or anyone else) that after migration, I could be subject to per-use fees, eg., for withdrawals or e-transfers?
