Yes, I mentioned it because I saw it with my own two eyes. I do not remember the bank (Tang?), but it did happen; a promo was ended earlier than advertised.

Tangerine has lowered its "base rate" while keeping its "bonus rate" as advertised. I still have the old statements to prove it. They'd drop the base rate when rates were falling, but never increase it as rates rose.
