OfflineAccording to Google's AI, Manulife does not process
Interac e-Transfers (including credit postings) on weekends or holidays; they are processed on the following business day. While the Interac network allows for transfers at any time, the actual processing and crediting of funds to your account by a financial institution like Manulife happens on business days only.
I just opened my first ManuLife bank account yesterday. I am in the process of emptying my Tangerine (can you say run on a bank) account. I was unable to set up ManuLife links to RBC or Tangerine using their nifty technology, so I am doing it in a most painstaking of manner at the moment. I have requested ManuLife to set up my linked accounts based upon void cheques that I downloaded to them. I am not sure how long that will take. They said it would take two business days to respond to my request which they received this morning.
Also worth noting is that to set up a link at Tangerine with ManuLife requires some stone age tools that survived the last ice age.
So, I am hoping that HIGHER beings with ManuLife experience, can impart your experiences upon me. Cheers!!!

OfflineFrom my own personal experience in the past, Manulife is usually pretty quick with linking external accounts manually, often it would done by the next day. The current promo will likely be popular as there's not too many them these days, so it may slow down the processing of linking external accounts a bit. Best way to check to see if its been done is to log in to see if it's in the drop down list of accounts under transfers.

OfflineJohnny Cash (has anyone told you what a great handle that is!!!???). Thanks, for your input. I just checked and they have linked RBC and Tangerine, but not EQ yet. I will do some test transactions for tomorrow. I did two test transactions initiated at EQ Bank today (1 push and 1 pull) and they both were posted by ManuLife today.
Thanks, John Boy. Good night Mary Ellen.

OfflineSo, my test transactions that were initiated from the ManuLife platform for value September 17 were both processed by Tangerine by late afternoon Eastern time.
RBC processed the credit transaction at 3:11 pm Eastern time. RBC will not process the debit transaction until overnight and based upon numerous other experiences it will have a transaction date of Sept 17 (however I will not definitively know this until tomorrow).
EQ Bank still has not been linked by ManuLife yet.

Google AI is extremely inaccurate or misleading in my experience. It outright lies on many occasions. Gemini Pro tends to be slightly more accurate. Although unlike many other AIs it won't acknowledge it lies when challenged.

OfflineHmm: You are quite correct that AI seems to lie on occasion. It was categorically incorrect about Manulife and weekend postings of Interac E Transfer credit postings (which do post on Saturday and Sundays).
Interestingly enough I was locked out of my Manulife account yesterday, and when I called Manulife today (first chance since limited Sunday call centre hours) I was told that they had sent an email message to their back office and that it would take 24 to 48 hours to reset my access. I communicated my dissatisfaction about this to the CSR (customer service rep). Also, on Saturday, I initiated two EFTs from Manulife to RBC. One for today and one for Oct 1st. The September 29th transaction has disappeared. They have no record of it. I saw these two transfers on the pending transactions of Manulife's online banking site (laptop access) on Saturday.
In my entire banking career I can only recall one EFT that vanished and that was in 2004 with ING. Has anyone else had any experiences lately with vanishing postdated EFTs from Manulife or any other financial institution for that matter?
At the moment I am highly unimpressed with Manulife.
