Although it still has not been updated on their web site, the CDN one year GIC at ICICI Bank that was 4.65% has now dropped to 4.1% as of Friday Jan. 25/08. Their HiSave account has also dropped from 4.25% to 4.1% as well. So much for their "this is not a promotional rate" claim. 🙁

So let's say I subscribe today to a 4.65% 1 year GIC. Since it's always indicating 4.65% on their website, will I get the 4.65 or will I get the new lower one?

If you guys think I'd might be able to get the 4.65, are the CAD GICs of ICICI insured up to 100,000$?

Nevermind aobut my last post, spoke to them on phone and anybody who sent his online form or posted his paper application before Friday will get the 4.65% rates. Else you're down to 4.1%. Let's stick with ING.
