I wasn’t able to find the e-Transfer limits for Hubert Financial. I understand that most banks have a daily limit of $3,000. I’m planning to send an e-Transfer on September 2nd.

I believe the e transfer limits for Hubert are $6000 per time with a limit of $10000 per week and 20000 per month. At least, that is what I was told by an agent about a year ago.

I believe the interac e-transfer limit at Hubert is $10, 000 per day (maximum single e-transfer amount of $5,000). The monthly limit is $20,000. I can confirm I successfully transferred $10, 000 in one day recently ($5K x 2).

My linked account with Hubert is CIBC. Last week I phoned to purchase a $10K GIC with them. They did the transfer and set up the GIC on line that day. No wait time on the phone either. I am sure one can purchase say a $25K GIC in the same way.

Probably can do a transfer to HISA in same manner, just that I haven't.

For what it's worth, in the olden days we could call up, and with the help of a CS agent, transfer well beyond those limits in one day. Although, when I did that, it was to another Hubert member, and to their account within Hubert.

That's still true. I've called Hubert the past few months and transferred in more than that $20,000/month limit for Interac e-Transfers in one transfer to fund a Hubert term deposit.

Behind the scene, the funds were moved through the savings account the same day into a new term deposit. The hold ended up on the term deposit.

Thanks, everyone.

Will it be possible in the near future to transfer funds online ourselves? I’d prefer not to have to call for banking tasks such as transferring funds, opening accounts, or giving GIC maturity instructions.

I don’t think Hubert (Access) has any plans to bring back the self-serve transfers into or out of Hubert. I have been successful over the last year sending term deposit maturity instructions to them by email including instructions on opening new accounts with funds from those maturing term deposits. I usually receive a reply from a Hubert CSR by email either the same day or by the next day confirming my instructions.

Someone spoke with Hubert a few months ago.

Access CU is thinking about a separate site for Hubert clients. There are no self-serve fund transfers in the immediate future.

I've called. The phone-in wait times are around 10 - 15 seconds. Really not a pressing issue as with CRA with wait times over an hour!

Thanks, good to know the email works. Hubert’s current GIC rates are among the highest. Too bad they still don’t (won't) offer real online banking in 2025.
