I don't see any provision for online sign-up. You would probably need to live in the area.
$100 fee for transfer out of registered funds.

That would be a useful tip if they would give you the name of a deposit broker who is making this particular offer. I would wager that there is not, but please let us know if anyone finds one.

I messaged them on their on-line message box yesterday and I got an immediate answer back from one of their reps. I contacted her this morning by e-mail as she requested so will be expecting a reply soon.

Just heard back from Motor City. They said that they can only open accounts for Ontario residents. Too bad for sure

Have you asked Motor City which deposit brokers they deal with?
In my experience, deposit brokers seem to have a "stable" of FIs that they deal with regularly, although the list can change.
Yes, it could be worth the trip to Windsor, depending on where you live and how much money you are putting in.
Relaxing afterwards at a restaurant in Little Italy would be my recommendation.

Motor can be done online first "join us" become a member. Once accepted ull be contacted to email/fax some more paperwork then funds can be pulled electronically. They can hold a rate for 2wks. They have someone who handles out of town orders she seems competent.
