Had a 1 year GIC come due yesterday for 6 figures.Called this morning & asked the rep. if they would match Oakens 1 yr.rate at 2.8% if I renewed with them.Got the big definitely no way.For the 150.00$ in interest difference,the money will head to Oaken Monday morning.

Great move ! I would have probably gone for 2 yr term for an extra 0.25% (250.00) interest myself.
