It appears Wealth One has been bought out by a Canadian consortium as per https://finance.yahoo.com/news/acquisition-wealthone-bank-canadian-consortium-120000414.html and the deal will close within weeks. This may finally improve the reputation of an entity of questionable legitimacy but it will remain to be seen what the new owners will/can do to finally make this bank profitable.

.
Yes ... I saw that earlier this morning.

However I'm Still not going to do any business with W1BoC, just yet . . .

Under new ownership, some things at W1BoC will be 'Better' (Communist Dictatorship operatives will be Gone, and the bank may actually start to turn a Profit). But other things will also likely be 'Bad' (Much Lower SA & GIC interest rates).

.
Best to stay on the side-lines for now.

I only have one digital bank account (EQ Bank) with no intention of ever being involved with another one but I follow this kind of financial news and the fintech industry to remain informed and curious on Canada's journey/competitiveness in this business.
