There are pros and cons to that.

For a customer depositing a cheque into their account and the funds put on hold until it clears ... with the use of computer automation clearing a cheque amongst the banking institutions should be do able.

BUT cashing a cheque in person ... hmmm.

To be honest I don't find it troublesome depositing cheques.. While I know they are held it isn't really noticeable.. I think they will end up with some amendments to these new rules over the 30 day consult period..
