Didn't see any mention on a hisa at 4.75% for 90 days. Closes July 31 2025.

It's interesting that this CU has 23 branches throughout Eastern Ontario, but hasn't been a featured player on this Forum as I recall.

Their HISA model resembles Motive in that they allow 2 free withdrawals per month, and a $7.50 charge thereafter. Otherwise no other service fees.

Account fees
Monthly fee $0
Free withdrawals Two per month
Transaction fee $7.50 (withdrawals in excess of two)
eTransfer in Free
Remote deposit Free
capture
Free online transfers To other Kawartha accounts

What method do they provide for push / pull EFT transfers and more importantly, what are their maximums on EFT withdrawals, since Forum members typically move large sums in and out of promo accounts. What about "hold policies"?

Their GIC rates are not attractive at all

Might be worthwhile for some depending on how easy they are to deal with.

If you are interested in Kawartha CU you should also be aware a merger is pending: "The Boards of both Kawartha Credit Union and Libro Credit Union are excited to share that the credit unions have entered into merger discussions."

21 of the 23 branches are in small towns. None in Toronto.
