OfflineA quote from Vatox's ⬆ StatCan link:
-
" The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 0.1% on a year-over-year basis in July, down from a 0.7% increase in June. Excluding gasoline, the CPI rose 0.7%.
.
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the CPI fell 0.1% in July ".
.
I can't remember ... when did we last see basically 'Zero' inflation, in previous years ❓❗

I find I am ahead financially over last year because of this very low inflation rate. Inflation eats up way more than taxes normally.
I can NOT say the same. My home insurance bill is well beyond UP and the price for food has gone through the roof. Some contracts, I've managed to lock in for a couple of years, Rogers for example.

. . .May and October of 2009 were both 0.1% inflation and the months in between were all deflationary.
Ah yes ... 2009 makes sense.
I should have remembered ❗
