EQ does not work for those of us who still occasionally need to write cheques. EQ does not offer a "chequing" account. Simplii chequing is excellent and offers unlimited free cheques, in addition to bill payments, interac etransfers (no charge) and great ATMs via CIBC.  

Yes, I realize that, but it offers a lot of features aside from physical cheques, which are likely to be phased out by 2030-2035 if and when Canada's new payments infrastructure is ever realized.

The one I am on the fence about is PC Money Account. It's still just a prepaid credit card. On the one hand, it would be the 5th largest no-fee day to day bank 'account' with about 200-300,000 clients (after EQ Bank, in 4th place, Wealthsimple, in 3rd place, and Simplii Financial and Tangerine in 2nd and 1st places, respectively). On the other, it's still more limited than EQ Bank.
