I tried using different email accounts to send email to contact@eqbank.ca over the past few months and I have not received any reply back.

When I checked EQ Bank's contact page, there is no longer any mention of email contact just telephone, mail, chat or fax https://www.eqbank.ca/about-us/help/contact-us

.
No offence ... but it appears you have answered your own question.

EQ Bank no longer communicates with its customers via email, but there are lots of other options available.

Sure...
Chat is most likely AI, telephone soon to be AI if not already. Fax? Ha, ha, ha. WHO is going to read your essay? AI? For sure.
Give us your money and do not contact us, ever!

Email is an insecure method of communicating. In-app (or website) encrypted chat/messaging or telephone are the most appropriate methods.

I notice more and more services eliminating email options over time.

Lol. I wish I did. Where did I write that EQ (no longer) communicates via email? What I wrote was their website no longer (includes) email as an option.

The last email I got from contact@eqbank.ca was back in February. They aren't using an auto-reply either.

Whatever. Email works fine for general or confidential info—MDs use it with patients. Used to get a reply back a several months ago; now EQ ignores even basic inquiries.

What next, fax or telegram? Their AI chatbots are a masterpiece of sadism, wasting people’s time. The escalation team never mentioned killing email support, then ghosted me when I asked. Good thing the Ombudsman exists for venting. sf-wink
