The short lived availability of the Earn More promo that started last March 2020 paying 2.5% expires March 31, 2021 for those who were fortunate to get it.

So far there has been no indication from DUCA if there will be a retention offer when this promo expires.

DUCA rates are currently unattractive, and DUCA retention or promo offers are frequently, only briefly available.

Lets keep an ear open for any updates from DUCA.

DUCA's GIC rates are among the best, e.g. 5 year GIC @1.90%

Called DUCA yesterday regarding the interest rate ending at the end of the month mentioning I am exploring other options which include EQ Banks 2.3% TFSA for the maximum allowed and throwing the rest in Canadian Tire's 1.8% offering seeing if a retention offer would be thrown my way. Nothing to add, will likely follow up a few days before the end of the month before pulling the amount out when the offer expires.

Seems that there is no retention offer (yet) and probably won't have one. Reps just suggest that a "wealth manager" contact you! One rep indicated that she was told there will likely be a new promo offer for everyone in May or June for new money deposited to an Earn More Park Account.

Anyone speaking to Duca to inquire about retention offers should post results here.
