Does the Tangerine World Mastercard pay 2% cash back on gas bought at Costco, when the gas category is chosen?
Are there any exclusions to where gas purchases don't pay 2%?

How can U pay at Costco gas using a Tangerine cc... don't U need to swipe membership card to gas there ? Unless U have a separate membership card ?
...Just curious since in my membership card is a cc.

My Costco Membership card is > 30 yrs old and it's not a CC. I use any MC CC I want and it's not CIBC.

You can pay with any MC, even at the store. I have the cibc costco MC but I use my own MC which has better cash rebates. The Costco MC is just sitting in my drawer and not even used as membership, as member card is on my phone.

Yes it does pay 2% at Costco gasoline stations (not the retail store).
Caveat: It also depends on the individual Costco location and how they've set up the merchant code with mastercard. ie. different locations different codes
It's a wishy-washy answer, but you should test it out at your specific Costco. All I know is that it works for me (2% cash-back).

Yes, it’s a 2 step process. I use my Rogers MC all the time at Costco for gas.
There is no way that I’ll ever get another Costco credit card as much as they keep pushing it in our face every time we check out.

Costco only accepts payments from one network: Mastercard. All other credit cards are not accepted at the Costco warehouse. That said, you can use your debit card instead, both online and in-store. Moreover, if you shop online, Costco does accept Visa credit cards.
