Used to be 2% cash back which was one of the highest rates but now it is different and I cannot quite figure out the percentage

120,000 points are worth $1000 in cash

Am trying to figure out if that beats this card which is a straight 1.5%

So I did the math

MBNA
$60,000 spent gets you 120,000 points
That converts to $1000 cash

MeridianCU
$60,000 spent gets you 1.5%
That converts to $900 cash

Used to be 100,000 points converted to $1000 at MBNA but that was changed to 120,000 points now for the $1000.

So technically it is no longer 2% and it makes the Meridian Card almost competitive and I use Meridian for my business so I am on the fence for switching.

Again doing the math based on the above..

The Elite MBNA card pays about 1.67% cash back once you work it all out.
