No access to the rest of your money for a some time and that somehow doesn't feel right to me...
That's just the free Me-to-Me transfers.
I think you can still do bill payments, Interac e-Transfers, get a bank draft, and wire transfers after that.

If the limits bother you, don't deposit more than 25K (or perhaps 50K, as that can apparently come out in 2 days), and tell them you would like to deposit more but are concerned about the limits.
I wonder what would happen if you set up 2 accounts, and had 50K in each one. Is the limit per account or per person?

Joebart, taking out $200K would take a month plus about 9 days.

One bright side is Alterna has actual transit numbers. If any bank like tangerine can link accounts by trial deposits, it can pull money out easily. Any recommended free accounts?
