Well my cheque is on the way by mail.. They requested i do a verification form hopefully in error.. Doesn't bode well for confidence in their systems..

I did not have much confidence in their computer system either. I just put the initial $100 cheque and wait for the twice or maybe three times of $50 bonus.

They don't have a lot of user for the moment, yet their system still have difficulty handling it....
I just wish they will improve it overtime, or copy what CDF do and use the credit union system.

On the up side, I like their website design.
Very simple and clean.
Compared to so many of the other online banks out there where the webpage is a total mess of information, this one is easy on the eyes.
They should offer Zagnut candy bars to those of us pioneers who are signing up for this as yet unknown online bank.

Talking about computer system availability, I should say mbna.ca. Before it was taken by TD, I did not have any problem. TD rebuilt mbna.ca. Now I often had this:

Well my cheque arrived and looks like I didn't need to fill out any excess forms.. Everythg looks good to go.. Now to wait to receive bonus.. This is going to be a set and forget for me..
Can we add zag to the comparison chart? I take it standard rates match PC Financial and Tangerine Bank?

I have make a transfer at Zag bank's end and it decided to do so twice which overdraft my checking account while they somehow don't have my record; they claim they will need couples days to get my money back. This is a disaster because I have a CC bill to pay in a couple of days if I do not want to get charge interest.
I think I have jump on-board too early now and I think my worst fear probably come true now, there system are crap! That's the reason why it fail despite it doesn't have a lot of user and the reason why I can't delete my transaction online yesterday and have to call !

If I understand you the transfer occurred twice? You setup the transfer from Zags end? Are you sure you didn't schedule an automatic transfer then schedule one manually as well? Seems odd..
I guess Zag is quite new.. Looks like they had GICs etc running before they launched online? In chat today agent said "if" we hit 1000 clients (fully funded) it'll be another 50$.. I don't think they'd hold back though even if it was a weaker launch then anticipated (problems etc). Anybody else partaking in this founder promo?

No, I have only request to transfer the money once, but I have cancel a transfer that is done on the same account before as I enter the wrong amount. Maybe that didn't actually cancel it....

I have problems too. My first photo-cheque on May 22 was not cleared yet. Zag shows it is available fund, and gave me $50 bonus too. Anyway, we are founders; we are pioneers. Problems are anticipated.

Just a heads up.. Zag charges a registered transfer fee (25$).. Undisclosed at this time (unless its on reg account page)

I check my checking account yesterday and realized they corrected the mistake already, no fee/ interest/ penalty charged on both side.

Also when opening account they ask the initial cheque be made to zag bank. When I opened tangerine account, I made the cheque to myself.
Is it OK or safe to make the cheque out to the bank rather than account holder/self?

$25 is probably a typo. We both got $50. As for your other questions, Victor8m:
The next $50 will be deposited sometime in July maybe August? I don't think you need to worry about that. Suppose Zag Bank announced, "Sorry, we are so unappealing that we got only 998 new clients."
As far as I know, today June 12, is the last day to qualify for this promotion.

So I asked ZAG to provide the transit/institution number and account so I could link accounts both directions.. They refused.. So I looked it up in the database and used that info.. I hope they are ready for external links 
They linked my Tangerine via cheque/1$ photo deposit.. So the basics seem to all be functioning at this point..
