IMO, it's already a leap of faith ... committing up front for 360-days *prepaid* to a new service provider. Mind as well take another leap of faith to believe ... whatever will-be will-be

In order to receive the additional $5 credits, in the case of 360-day plans, your friend must continue with Koodo for at least a month following the expiry of their 360-day plan.

... the referee must make one renewal whether it be another 360D or another 30D.

I was the referer to two referee and received 2 x$5 x5. I think they join the prepaid program on monthly. However, since I am on 360D, my credits remain on file until my next renewal.

IMO, it is better to go monthly first and iron out all the issues. At least, you still can cut your cost if things doesn't work out. Hope this helps.

Hello group, I hope these questions about signing up with a referral is not against the forum rules.

Does anyone have experience signing up with a prepaid referral on a 360 day plan (now 365 day)? The following is taken from the referral details and terms and conditions:

When your friend completes the referral by activating on Koodo Prepaid, a $5 credit will be applied to both of your accounts. When your friend is active with Koodo for another month, you'll both receive another $5 in credits for up to 5 months.

In the case of 360-day plans, if you are on a 360-day plan, or if your friend activates on a 360-day plan, the initial credit will be added to your account and won’t expire as long as your account is active. In order to receive the additional $5 credits, in the case of 360-day plans, your friend must continue with Koodo for at least a month following the expiry of their 360-day plan.

As the friend who is activating, how are the remaining 5x$5 credits applied? Would I receive them as described in the first paragraph - a $5 credit each month for five months during my first year?

If I receive them as described in the second paragraph, how is the remaining credit given? A lump-sum credit of $25 (5x$5)? A $5 credit each month for five months (given I remain for another five months)?

What if I renew my prepaid service on another 360/365-day plan? Does that change how the remaining credits are given?

I would do away with tipping gladly. It makes servers work for uncertain compensation, like the variable-reward monkeys that were stressed out. It robs servers of their benefits, pensions and other income-related stuff like the canada workers benefit. It enables benefit fraud, too. Tipping means the servers get unearned increases when taxes and prices go up. I'd much rather pay higher prices and see social services operate honestly. I won't want to see terminals that try to force tipping at insane rates. And we would get less spit in our foods.

As far as paying a "fair" wage, sure, why not a fair pension, paid vacations, paid stress and other leaves, and other paid benefits too? And then meal prices can reflect all those costs so that the 99% can no longer afford to eat out hardly ever and we can get rid of 90% of the restaurant industry like it was in the good old days.

In the manufacturing sector, most employees earn minimum wage or a bit better, plus benefits according to provincial government legislation. The meals in average restaurants are not made by chefs as once had been. The quality suggests it's more along frozen food being cooked or warmed up. The cost of average plates are no less than $30-$45 nowadays before tips and taxes (depends on location, of course).
