It's a new way that Tangerine is targeting clients without necessarily advising or notifying them. To me it's an odd way to gift clients additional interest after throwing them in jail. No reason to complain, other than maybe missing out on the opportunity because you weren't aware the additional interest rate was applied to their account.

In my case my Tangerine Insights page doesn't show 4% offer I received. I've got email with promo details, it also said promo applies automatically.
When I check my Savings account Details, 4% interest is there.

I checked my Tangerine Insights page this morning and was rewarded with a 4.25% offer on new money from June 2nd to August 31st. The timing was perfect as my Simplii offer expired at the end of May.  

Thanks for letting us know! I saw this post the day after you posted but I was in a hurry and did not have time to reply. I checked my Tangering account and had a 4.15% offer on new money transferred into my savings account.

They used to send these offers by email as well and I would have missed out on several days of higher interest if you had not posted.

I used my desktop/laptop most of the time to bank and use the Mobile app when away from home, so the offer is not limited to the Mobile app. Insight is available on the Mobile app and the Web site.

Tangerine seems to use some sort of algorithm and makes random offers each month and the interest rate may vary. An offer may come directly to you as an email or only appear on the INSIGHTS page. Either way, you must first accept or activate the offer.

I only use a laptop and not the app. The link to the INSIGHTS page is directly below the Tangerine logo when I log in. Click on INSIGHTS to see if you have an offer. I typically move my funds away from Tangerine a day or two before a current offer expires.

A few days after my offer has expired, I check INSIGHTS to see if I have a new offer and if I do, I accept the offer and move my funds back to Tangerine. You need to move your funds out of Tangerine prior to the current offer expiring so that if you receive a new offer, the funds count as "new money". Any offers via INSIGHTS usually appear within the first week of the month.

I just received the 4.15% as well, after 9 long months of this silly tiered rate. Just activated and moving funds back to Tangerine.
