<p>Maybe we could just use this thread/subject to form an ad-hoc survey.</p>

					                        <description><![CDATA[<p>Such a survey may be hard to 'frame' for useful content. There are many situational reasons why someone may, or may not, be willing to go above insured limits, and would the survey be for CDIC insured FIs only? Or include CUs and their provincial insurance corporations?   Such a survey could be worth a try but there is no single black and white answer.</p>

					                        <description><![CDATA[<p>Frequently we were cautioned *not to exceed* the insurance covered amount &#038; spread deposits among covered categories if necessarily.  However, this may not be always practical.</p>
<p>Peter, is it technically viable to craft a live survey to know the % of people *willing to exceed* the insured amount on FIs discussed on this site? … or else once a year?</p>
<p>For example, in such a survey, I'll say "yes" to Tangerine but "no" to Oaken.</p>
