Oaken doesn't support remote push/pull, so Flinks isn't going to make them a supported source FI.

Haventree is new enough that Flinks may still be working on writing and validating whatever scraping or other methods they need to implement to retrieve from a Haventree account, and they will show up in FI source lists once that is done . Or perhaps Haventree is doing the Oaken "no linking from other FIs". There are enough places that still have some sort of manual transit info linking that I'm sure someone will report on whether it works or not.

Oaken savings accounts don't accept direct deposits or pre-authorized debits. So, one can't link to the Oaken savings account at Haventree Bank.

You'll likely have to go through an enhanced manual verification of the Haventree savings account since you won't be able to get an actual cheque to void or a stamped account verification form from online-only Haventree Bank.

It went like this:

11:21 AM - Haventree email arrived asking to confirm my email address by clicking on provided link
11:27 AM - welcome email arrived from Haventree notifying that onboarding process is complete and I can now login to my new Haventree account

Account login is by email address and password. Haventree app on smartphone also accepts biometrics login.

I did open account with Haventree. Everything was done online and quickly, in one session. I think it took me less than 20 minutes to complete the process and have access to my account at Haventree.

Everything works as it should: bill payments, interac transfers, EFTs.

External accounts linking uses Flink. I haven't found limit for number of external accounts, I linked three and it does offer me to link more.
One minor complaint: it is not possible to edit name or add a nickname for linked account.

One other feature I am missing is Interac request money. To be fair, out of all FIs I have accounts with just one has it.

What did you use for ID in setup? I understand photo ID such as DL and a selfie?

After setup, what is login process? ID, password and code sent to text or email?

Just bumping this as it's been a month. Has there been any feedback from them about issues raised here, and, has anyone had experience yet in the speed of EFT transfers in and out, compared to other banks?

Agreed! It would be valuable information to know precisely the EFT inbound and outbound protocols of Haventree.

Their FAQ skirts the issue and no one to date has reported exactly how long an EFT push from Haventree takes to arrive at one's external FI.

Some comparisons known on our Forum: Oaken, for example arrives 24 hours later; Wealth One 24 hours to 48 hours depending on the time the EFT is pushed. As I recall, Meridian can take a week or more.

Haventree has spent time and money promoting their new direct access services, but this one aspect of their operation is, in my view, a deal maker or deal braker!

While Haventree is not one of the current HISA leaders, it could be a fallback when one is maxed out with the leaders.
