I did open account with Haventree. Everything was done online and quickly, in one session. I think it took me less than 20 minutes to complete the process and have access to my account at Haventree.

Everything works as it should: bill payments, interac transfers, EFTs.

External accounts linking uses Flink. I haven't found limit for number of external accounts, I linked three and it does offer me to link more.
One minor complaint: it is not possible to edit name or add a nickname for linked account.

One other feature I am missing is Interac request money. To be fair, out of all FIs I have accounts with just one has it.

Setting Nicknames for External accounts in Haventree would be a really good upgrade.

Interestingly, Haventree shows the Access/Hubert account Nicknames in linked accounts but not for Tangerine.

When pushing money from Haventree to Wealthsimple, it arrived on the Wealthsimple side in about 12 hours. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly the outgoing transfer went through.

That's good to know. The Haventree Everyday Growth Account is like the EQ Bank Personal Account and Hubert High Interest Savings Account then.

No cheque writing. But, accepts automated funds transfer (AFT) over the Payments Canada ACSS.

Tangerine defaults to micro deposits if FI is not know to Flinks. I configured Haventree account as an external account in Tangerine. Two micro deposits from Tangerine arrived promptly to my Haventree account.

Haventree is new enough that Flinks may still be working on writing and validating whatever scraping or other methods they need to implement to retrieve from a Haventree account, and they will show up in FI source lists once that is done . Or perhaps Haventree is doing the Oaken "no linking from other FIs". There are enough places that still have some sort of manual transit info linking that I'm sure someone will report on whether it works or not.
