For myself, I've had my three investment accounts with 'TD Direct Investing' for several years now. For the most part, I've been quite happy with them.

My Son is about to open his first investment account (TFSA Investment Account). But the last I heard, he's probably going to go with 'Qtrade'.

I used itrade, cibc investor edge, questrade and national brokerage.
Questrade is the best but ECN fee is a huge draw back for them.

Absolutely. It's what ultimately drove my business away from them, although the ECN fees aren't a factor for people who don't trade a lot or don't dabble in small caps

My stock portfolios are not big enough to justify using four different brokerages. But in addition to TD Direct, I may start using Qtrade as well.
