… For example, when I am trying to link my Haventree account as an external account for my EQ bank account, EQ bank web site can't find Haventree in "100+ financial institutions" known to Flinks.

From all FIs I have accounts with, I was able to link Haventree account at Tangerine only, because Tangerine switches to their old microdeposit way when Flinks can't be used.

I was going try this to link my Hubert savings account at EQ Bank. But, I found out that I already had a link to my EQ Bank savings account at Hubert and didn't need to create the link at EQ Bank.

Perhaps this is still available to create a link your Haventree account at EQ Bank without Flinks:

You can give customer care a call and they should be able to help you. All they will ask for is your external account information(Institution, Transit & account number) & verbal or email confirmation for linking the accounts. I linked my account that way. The requirement they asked that time(not sure if its still the same) was both the accounts (EQ & External bank) should be in your name and you must have done at-least one interac e-transfer for $10 or more between the accounts. Your accounts should be linked within 2-3 business days.

LifeReinvigorant OP • Sun, Dec 22, 2024 10:45:09 AM EST
Thanks. I talked with them and have been told about the e-transfer in order to link the accounts. Except USD, where I need to provide 3 months statements, which I can't because I just opened the other USD.

Correction: My apologies, the terms & conditions actually said it will be deposited into the Personal Account. However, whether it would be scenario #2 or scenario #3 was never made clear and that was the issue I was recalling about here.
