Correction: My apologies, the terms & conditions actually said it will be deposited into the Personal Account. However, whether it would be scenario #2 or scenario #3 was never made clear and that was the issue I was recalling about here.

We’re reaching out about an issue with the EQ Bank Bonus Interest Offer that affected your account ending in xxxx.

Interest on your account may have been calculated and paid at 1.00%* instead of the 2.75%* rate under the offer.

We recalculated the difference in interest you should have earned at the 2.75%* rate during the affected period, from October 2025 to June 2026. We’ve also included a redress payment. A single credit for the interest adjustment and redress payment will be applied to your account within 10 business days.

This credit is considered a taxable income.

No further action is needed on your part.

We sincerely apologize for any confusion this may have caused. If you have questions, our Customer Care team is available from 8:00am to midnight ET by phone at 1-844-437-2265 or through live chat.

Sincerely,

I haven't received such an invitation but already have the card so would guess they have identified the overlaps/redundancies. I expected to see a yellow, EQ Mastercard replace the PC branding. Maybe still to come. A bit early to tell but the PCF kiosk at my local Loblaws remains red and unstaffed as it has been for most of this year.
