I was just approved for the Tangerine Credit Card.

A 125 Amazon GC was offered by this site as a bonus for signing up.

Just curious how long it takes to receive typically, and is it an e-gift card that is emailed?

Thanks.

Aside from tie-ins and first-year waivers, I think this is the first no-fee Infinite card? WS were offering the Infinite card at their paid 2% cashback level (with upgrades to VIP), but they swapped that for the newer Infinite+ level, and have now brought the plain Infinite back as a 1% no-fee.

That looks very interesting and I'll await further details. I had the Infinite prior to its broad public release but chose not to keep it as they changed the deal on the fee waiver. This new offering might be worth considering if it becomes reality.

But even if both cards are eligible, how does one qualify for 2 free cards, that's 270.00 a year in annual credit card fees, and Ultimate Chequing package only reimburses 150.00 a year.

All Scene (Scotia) cards are now linked with Shell App. (They used to be linked with Bank of Montreal). I think it is 3c/L less on gas and discounts on other things at Shell. I have been a long-standing customer of Scotia (As well as all the other banks!). I get a free Scotia Passport Visa (no foreign transaction fees, 4 Lounge Passes at the airport, trip insurance, etc), and a free Scotia AmEx Gold card (also no foreign transaction fees, trip insurance, but this card multiplies BETTER for groceries--6X the points at Sobeys, Freshco, 5X the points at all other grocery and restaurants, and Cineplex. The downside: some stores ie. Loblaws/No Frills don't accept AmEx but Shoppers Drug does!!
