I wonder why the Manulife Advantage account was used in the comparison chart. This is a savings/chequing account. The Manulife Investment Savings Account (currently getting 0.5% higher than the Advantage account) would be more comparable with the other accounts in the chart.

You are correct. I have now changed this. The Advantage account had been discussed on this site, which is why I had originally added it.

The rate for the Manulife Investment Savings Account is now down to 3.10%… I wonder whether I should simply drop it from the chart now.

Sigh… and to think ING Direct is where I had opened my first "high interest savings account"…

I have now dropped the Manulife Investment Savings Account from the chart as its rate is now 2.60% and not comparable to the other major players.

It's getting to the point where the term "High" Interest Savings account is a misnomer. You are going to have to rename this website, or go back to the old name of "Crap". Have you ever considered starting a discussion forum on recycling pop cans for spare change? Take care.
